Research Landscape Maps
Why do we need research landscape maps?
Management of Victoria’s waterways is complex. Any given body of water has a range of strategic and statutory measures, plans and activities at local, catchment, State and Basin wide scales contributing to it’s management. Likewise, a diverse range of research and monitoring (R&M) activities underpin the management decisions of these waterways. It is important to be able to understand just how these R&M activities contribute to these statutory and strategic drivers. This provides those working in aquatic ecology a clear line of sight between their activities and the bigger picture.
